VH1 is spinning off a female version of its No. 1 show "Flavor of Love."
Cable network has greenlit production on 10 episodes of an untitled series from executive producers Cris Abrego and Mark Cronin that casts one of the eccentric contestants from the first season of "Flavor" in her own dating show.
"Flavor" continues to rank as VH1's top-rated original series. A recent episode on Sept. 3 drew a big 3.23 million viewers (1.5 national rating/5 share in 18-49; 1.9/7 in 18-34).
Similar to what ABC did with "The Bachelorette," VH1 will air the offshoot on its own next year, likely in the "Flavor" Sunday night timeslot.
And, like "Flavor," the producers are casting a "diverse" selection of contestants; in the first episode of "Flavor of Love 2," two of the competing women got into a fistfight over a bed, and another defecated on Flav's marble floor.
"We're able to cast guys you wouldn't normally see." Abrego said. "We've got investment bankers, lawyers, rappers, unemployed guys living at home ...The best part is each one believes they have amazing game."
Production begins later this month. Season two of "Flavor" concludes Oct. 15.
As far as the possibility for a third go-round with Flav, Cronin acknowledged that trying to find the rap star love again might be overkill, and another season might be out of the question. "We are developing new show ideas with him," Abrego said. "We think it's time for him to do something new. He's funny and a likeable character."

Britney Spears gave birth to her second son early Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital, according to several entertainment magazines.
The baby boy was delivered around 2 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Us Weekly reported on its Web site Wednesday, citing an unnamed family source. The child was delivered by a scheduled Cesarean section procedure, People.com reported.
The newborn's name was not immediately known. Spear's New York-based publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, did not immediately return a call to the Associated Press seeking comments.
It was the second child for Spears, 24, and her husband Kevin Federline, 28.
The newborn's arrival came just days before their son Sean Preston's first birthday on Thursday.
Federline also has a daughter and a son with actress Shar Jackson.

LONDON Sep 8, 2006 (AP)— Lindsay Lohan lost some luggage at Heathrow Airport Thursday, but she'll have to wait and see if police can track down the Hermes bag and the jewelry that was inside it.
The Metropolitan Police said a 20-year-old actress and singer reported the theft just after 6:45 p.m. (1:45 p.m. EDT) Thursday after she noticed her orange bag was definitely not aboard her luggage cart.
Lohan's representative, Leslie Sloane, told the syndicated television show "The Insider" that the theft took place, adding that the bag also contained the actress' asthma medicine.
"She is begging for the return of the items," Sloane told the program. "She doesn't care how she gets them back; she just wants her stuff back."
According to the police report filed at Scotland Yard, Lohan noticed the bag was missing as she was heading out of Heathrow Airport's Terminal One.
"We understand the bag contained a quantity of jewelry," police said in a statement.

Sept. 8, 2001 — FDNY firefighter John McNamara's wife, Jennifer, is a quick study.
The couple were set up on a date through a mutual friend on Sept. 9, 2000. He was a Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, firefighter.
She was a Brooklyn Heights lawyer.
"It took me about an hour to figure out I was going to marry him," Jennifer said to ABC News. "I think it took him a few more days."
"When I met him, he had these huge arms," she said. "He used to work out all the time. He never smoked, never did anything in excess. He was always in great health. He had to be, given his job."
In May 2001 they were married.
When the planes hit the World Trade Center towers, Jennifer was working at 40 Rector St. as a managing lawyer for the New York City Commission on Human Rights.
The landing gear of one of the planes crashed in front of her building.
John was called in for rescue, and worked all day and through most of the night.
He would spend about 500 hours in the smoldering mound of twisted metal dust that first responders came to refer to as "the Pile."
"The first few days we had paper masks," John said. "They handed out paper masks, and a guy gave me two of them and said, 'Double up. It'll be better for you if you double up on them.'"
John said it was a secondary concern because "you didn't worry about that at the time [because] you were worried about finding 343 missing firemen."
"Or 2,000-plus civilians."
Meanwhile, Jennifer was trapped in a restaurant called Moran's when the towers collapsed.
Both came home that first day drenched in dust.

Aug. 29, 2006 Â In less than two weeks, John Mark Karr went from total obscurity to the darkest kind of fame.
With a vaguely worded confession at a news conference in Thailand, he became the first person ever arrested in the unsolved murder of JonBenet Ramsey and the closest authorities had come to putting a face to the little girl's killer.

There were those who questioned whether Karr was guilty of the crimes he so graphically had described.
The small city of Boulder was rife with skepticism.
Even John Ramsey, JonBenet's father and the man with the most to gain from solving the case, reminded the public that Karr was "innocent until proven guilty."

I was lookin the hottest of the hot(not conceided) and i was ready to go with my hair all done and everything, sooo happy. so we start by doing some warmups and i was dancing my ass off(literally) cuz it was my time to shine in front of David Banner, Lil Zane, and a couple other rappers and 100s of people.D eveyone was lovin my dancing and makin me feel good. Then Eminem walks in the room lookin like hes overdosing on drungs. We met and he was really nice to begin with and he was saying things like how he watches the show and how he got our issue of playboy and he wants me to sign it so i was very flattered and happy. Then we start doing our scene and everything is goin good until we go on a break. I went over to sit on the couch to rest a lil bit and i started talking to this really nice guy. Next, i look over and see Eminem walkin towards me. I smile and say "whats up?", he takes out a bottle of water and pours it all over me!!! There goes my makeup, there goes my hair, there goes my tears, and there goes my first rap video!!! Yes i charged at him to knock him out, only got him a lil bit though cuz of his big ass body guard that was in my way. All i have to say about this is I feel way more sorry for him than i do hate him over this!! even though i yelled out probably 100000 times i hate him haha!! He has to act like a 5 yr old lil kid by pouring water on me to make himself feel better about his sad life. Everyone like Akon came over to make me feel better and that was really cool of them but inside i was dying!! i was so embarrassed and humiliated! So many people after that said they will never support him anymore and they will never listen to him anymore!! Hef felt sooo bad for me and was sooo pissed at Eminem, Hef HATES him now haha!! So i lived and i learned right?? I will never do a rap video again unless its three 6 mafia, too short, bow wow, or nelly!!! Nelly was so nice to me by sending me a letter along with an autograhed jersey and pimpjuice the day after this eminem video so now im happy again haha!!So all i can woder is why why why???? maybe he was loaded on drugs, maybe i reminded him of Kim, maybe he hates me..who knows!! all i know is i didnt do anything to him to make him do this to me. Woman Crashes When Teaching Dog to Drive

BEIJING Aug 28, 2006 (AP)— A woman in Hohhot, the capital of north China's Inner Mongolia region, crashed her car while giving her dog a driving lesson, the official Xinhua News Agency said Monday.
No injuries were reported although both vehicles were slightly damaged, it said.
The woman, identified only be her surname, Li, said her dog "was fond of crouching on the steering wheel and often watched her drive," according to Xinhua.
"She thought she would let the dog 'have a try' while she operated the accelerator and brake," the report said. "They did not make it far before crashing into an oncoming car."
Xinhua did not say what kind of dog or vehicles were involved but Li paid for repairs.

Southeast Asia a Haven for Pedophiles
Aug. 17, 2006 — The arrest of 41-year-old John Karr on charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and child sexual assault in the 1996 murder of 6-year-old JonBenet Ramsey has shined a harsh spotlight on the country where he apparently resided — Thailand, long seen as a destination country for pedophile sex tourists.

Karr was already being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges. He apparently disappeared from the United States in 2001, after he was released from jail, where he'd been held on child pornography charges.

Thailand has a reputation for engaging in one of the largest child sex trade operations in Southeast Asia. UNICEF estimates the number of Thai children involved in prostitution to be between 60,000 and 200,000, though the organization says the exact number is difficult to track.

The U.S Department of Justice said the growing popularity of the very profitable child sex tourism contributes to the problem. A Thai organization called FACE, the Coalition to Fight Against Child Exploitation, claimed that 5,000 foreigners come to Thailand each year to have sex with children.

The organization described the average sex tourist as a middle-aged white male from either Europe or North America who often goes online to find the "best deals." One particular Web site promised "nights of sex with two young Thai girls for the price of a tank of gas."

For the couple, who met in 1999 while filming the series In the House, it was love at first sight. Ribeiro, 34, approached Stapler on set and asked about her after-work plans. They went to dinner that evening and were together ever since.

Divorce papers filed Aug. 9 in Los Angeles Superior Court cite irreconcilable differences. The couple will share joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Sienna.

Al Qaeda's newest tactic to elude American forces appears to be dressing in drag.
A key al Qaeda operative who was dressed as a woman was killed in eastern Afghanistan, according to the U.S. military.
It was the third time in just three weeks that al Qaeda operatives wearing women's clothing have been captured or killed by coalition forces, Coalition spokesman Colonel Tom Collins told ABC News.
"We are seeing this tactic more frequently," he said.

An assault force swooped in on the village of Ya'Qubi, in Khost province near the Pakistan border early this morning, after receiving intelligence indicating "a known al Qaeda facilitator considered a significant threat" was there, according to the U.S. military. Soldiers searching the compound came across the man hidden under a burqa. He resisted capture and was subsequently shot and killed.

DALLAS - The winning bid for Matthew McConaughey's 1971 Corvette Stingray convertible, auctioned for hurricane relief, was $61,600, according to the eBay Web site.

The name of the winning bidder wasn't immediately released. The Web site indicated that 72 bids were received.

McConaughey, a native of Texas, said he's donating all proceeds from last month's sale to Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network for Katrina and Rita recovery efforts.

Film credits for the 36-year-old actor include "Failure to Launch" and "The Wedding Planner." In 2005, he was named the "sexiest man alive" by People magazine.

Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast on Aug. 29. Rita made landfall in southeast Texas on Sept. 24.

I can honestly say that I really did not watch the first season of flavor of love due to the fact I have no intrest in see a man who looks like a cracked out midget but after all of the drama I have heard about season 2 I think I may be tuning in not because it intresting but becasue of the DRAMA!!. I have to admit after I heard about the young lady named Sumthin who took a shit in the middle of the floor because she wasnt chossen by rat boy I instantly became drawn to possiblity of seeing someone make an ass of themselves on national television and believe me no one will ever ever ever forget Sumthin. Oh I also found out that before flavor of love Sumthing was internet porn star on a web site called Big Thick Girls. Humm Im not surprised at all about that info especially after her performance the first night.

In major U.S. airports, guards armed with rifles stood at security checkpoints and passengers were met by signs warning that all liquids were now banned from carry-on luggage. In one terminal at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, security workers opened every carry-on bag and all the flights were delayed.

Okay it seems that the goverment's job now is to just scare the hell out of all americans now. I understand the need for Homeland security but I do not like waking up in the morning and the first thing i hear on the news is how terriorist were planning on blowing up airplanes in the air again it just make me nervous and make me wanna stay home from work but due to the fact that Im a mother and bills have to be paid I am forced to go and do my daily 9 to 5 and while Im driving to work Im watching the sky to make sure a plane isnt about to hit me. I dont like being paranoid but unfortunatly the goverment loves to watch american citizens scurrying like mice when the security alert goes from yellow to orange. Please stop the madness there are some of us in the U.S who dont want to have to sit at work all day and worry about if we will make it back home.
